What’s up Dame Squad! For this post I’m bring you Plus Size Military Inspired Fashion. From Camo Jackets to combat boots you can’t shop any where without seeing this trend. With that being said, with every blog post I like to share a little more about myself. When I saw this top on Rainbow Shops website I just had to have it. Why you say? Well y’all I am a military brat. My dad served over 20 years in the United States Army. Growing up I enjoyed helping my dad prep his Uniforms for early morning formation and PT. Even though the shirt, with its deep neckline and choker detail is definitely a more fashion forward and girly version of my Dad’s PT shirt, it still brings back so many great memories with my dad. The jeans I chose to wear are also from Rainbow Shops. Again y’all know how I feel about my Jeans. I enjoy finding jeans that are unique and aren’t just your average pair of jeans. These jeans definitely fit the bill. The high low detail of the jeans and the distressed hem really step these babies up a notch and really give them a high fashion feel. Since these jeans are a mid-rise jean I decided to size up and got them in a size 20 ( I normally wear an 18). I’m glad I did because the 20 fit perfectly. As mentioned in my latest Instagram post this week is all about adding a pop of color to your outfit to take it to another level. And right now I am totally “Crushing” on my Red Cape Robbin shoes I snatched up from a local shoe store here in Houston, but you can grab you a pair from Fashion Nova (shoe name on site: Bad Karma Heel). The Blood Red Crushed Velvet combination is pure perfection and just in time for Valentine’s Day. Remember for me as always comfort is key. The block heel makes the shoe super comfortable and easy to walk in. Oh, and let me not forget to say that I normally wear a size 11 but I was actually able to wear these in a size 10 without any problems. Lastly for some added Military inspo, I threw on my army green lightweight hooded cargo jacket. You can find these mostly anywhere but I got mine last year on sale from Target in the plus section under the Ava and Viv line. What I love most about this piece is it is timeless and you can wear it with so many other items in your wardrobe. I hope you enjoyed this post!
